In an era defined by digital noise and a growing epidemic of loneliness, The SpeakEasy Collective was founded because we realized the world has become incredibly loud, yet nobody is actually being heard.
Co-founded by sisters-in-law Tracey Oberman and Emily Oberman, The SpeakEasy Collective is the intersection of two distinct but deeply aligned journeys, with one rooted in the classroom, the other in the creative studio.
Tracey spent her career in academia, discovering that a professor’s greatest impact often happened outside the curriculum. It was in the intentional moments of mentorship where students simply needed to be heard. Witnessing firsthand how social isolation and the pressures of modern life were fueling a rise in burnout and a loss of individualism, Tracey envisioned a company based solely on the power of human conversation.
Emily, a seasoned copywriter and content strategist, spent over 15 years helping brands find their "authentic voice." However, her own path through career pivots revealed a deeper truth: professional fulfillment and personal resilience are found only when we have the freedom to be authentic. Her journey back to her creative roots cemented her commitment to helping others find their "sweet spot" in life and business.
